Q: How can I get comp.sys.next or any other usenet news?\
\
Q: How can I connect to people on the Internet?\
\
A: This NextAnswer will give some hints to get yourself connected to both Usenet news and electronic mail. E-mail support is provided using the Unix UUCP facility. This set of programs allows you to send and receive mail using a modem connected to a phone line. The UUCP facility is also used to download news from a server to your machine. Once connected to the network through your modem, you will be able to send and receive mail using the NeXT multimedia mail application.\

Here is a small list of companies that provide both e-mail and news service. This list is by no means complete, NeXT does not endorse any of these vendors. For more information see the book listed at the end of this NeXTanswer. \
